- Health Services -

Ambulance - The hospital provides ambulance service, staff licensed EMT's, and two paramedics.
Long Term Intermediate Care - For families that have loved ones that cannot live at home anymore. The service is not covered by medicare. Private pay and resident makes the patient room their new home. Meals, nursing care, and activities are provided.
Respite Care - For families that have loved ones that need nursing attention, assistance, for a maximum of two weeks. A private pay service, meals, nursing care, and activities are provided.
Ultrasound - Capability provided. Sonograms and Dopplers daily.
Mammogram Scans - A large van that comes once a month for scheduled mammograms. Parks in hospital parking lot.
Activities - Have an activities director tat provides numerous things for our residents to do - maybe indoor and/or outdoors. Has started family night which includes dinner for families and has been very positive.
Laundry - Hospital owns their own laundry facility which provides quality assurance that linen will be clean.
Tele-Med Interactive TV - Equipment kept in Emergency Room available to reach Doctors in other facilities and for out reach education.
X-Ray - Has modern stationary and portable equipment. Diagnostic x-rays daily. Fluoroscopy weekly by radiologist Tele-Radiology. (images transmitted electronically)
Dr. Roberts - He is a cardiologist from Wichita, Kansas who brings his own staff and needed equipment and comes to us. His appointments are made on 1st Monday of the Month and are seen right here at the hospital.
Physical Therapy - Our therapist is staffed Monday- Friday and sees acute, swing bed, home health, and out patient status. Treats a lot of patients for post-op surgery.
Caldwell Communicare - Hospital owns the home health services which has a r\Registered Nurse who works Monday - Friday takes calls on weeks. A certified home health aide provides baths as needed and a Registered Physical Therapist is available.
Surgery - We have a surgeon from Medicine Lodge who is available for scheduled surgeries and currently comes once a month and does the majority of colonoscopies.
Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary - Trained volunteers work in hospital and do fund raisers to benefit the hospital. They also make useful items for the patients and entertain intermediate care patients.
In Patient (Acute Care) - Patients are admitted to the hospital for different numerous diagnosis and will receive care from highly qualified Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Nurses Aides.
Out Patient - Patients who do not need to be in the hospital but need treatment. IV's, dressing, fluids, lab, x-ray, physical therapy.
Swingbed - Medicare funded for patients to be able to stay longer in hospital to finish treatment.
Sleep Studies - Available as needed. Qualified personnel comes from Wichita, Kansas, brings their own equipment, and patients stay the night in our hospital for testing.
EEG/Nerve Conduction Studies - Available as needed.
CAT Scan - Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and to aide doctor in the diagnosis of patient. Non-Invasive. Found in the back of the hospital in trailer.
Lab - Techs in hospital Monday - Friday and on call nights and weekends. We do In or Out Patient examinations. State of Art Analyzers and have consulting pathologist.
